What are parents saying about having their
students in Veritas Academy?
“We have our children in Veritas because we feel it is important for them to know God, develop Godly character traits AND get a top notch education, while reaching their God given potential. Veritas holds our children to the high standards that they are capable of. They teach truth and faith in our Creator and Savior, honesty, diligence, and kindness. They are partnering with us to help develop our children into great people, not just great minds.”
“The students and teachers all support each other through prayer and acceptance. Veritas teaches the children to embrace their uniqueness, that we are all God’s creatures, and also reinforces the Christian morals and values that we are teaching them at home. We also really love the Christian discipline system at Veritas, it teaches student that there are consequences for their actions, but that there is also forgiveness. “
“Our children are thriving, and their individual needs (which are very different from each other) are being met. Their teachers know what educational styles work best for them, and they are able, with the smaller class sizes, to personalize their approaches to each student. All of this while speaking to their hearts and really giving them a moral edge, maintaining their walk with Christ. This has been so meaningful for our family, knowing that our kids’ educations aren’t being categorically separated from their Christianity.”
“Veritas is an amazing school that will support, pray for, and help your students and families in any way that they can. Veritas really does partner with parents in raising good, well educated, Christian adults that are ready to face this scary world.”
“Veritas has been such a blessing to our family. They open each school day in prayer, and I am so happy to see my kids praying for their teachers and school friends at home as well. They’re bringing home a desire to pray for and help other people in their school community, which to me is precious. And priceless.”
“We love the classical method of teaching through the ages, especially the memorization and learning through chant, song and jingles for every subject. We believe it is effective to provide foundations for the progression of learning.”

What the best option of education is for your family?
Here are some questions families might want to ask when evaluating their options for their student’s education:
-
- What is the student/teacher ratio?
- How many hours will my student be in school?
- How is reading taught (with phonics and the rules of the language)? What books will my student read?
- How and when are spelling, writing and grammar taught?
- How will math facts be mastered?
- How is math taught? Is it taught in units or progressively?
- How is my student assessed for progress and mastery?
- What is the structure of the classroom?
- What is the process for discipline and relational conflicts?
- Will my student be taught a Biblical or world view?
- Does this school line up with my goals and desires for my child?

Veritas Academy is a classical Christian private school located in Cody. “Veritas” is Latin for “truth.” Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32). We desire for our academy to teach students to be disciples who know the Truth and to guide them to reach their God-given potential.
Veritas Academy distinctives are:
- Christ-centered, Biblically-based education
- Regular “recitations” where each grade will creatively present to family and friends a synopsis of what they have been learning
- Inclusion of the “Great Books” (or classics) in each grade
- Participation in community service projects
- Develop a love of learning in students through the stimulating and engaging Classical method
- A safe, uplifting, productive and redemptive school culture
Veritas vos liberabit. The truth will set you free.
Is the financial investment holding you back from taking the leap into private school for your children?
One US family shares their story about the decision they made to enroll their three children in classical Christian private school:
“Initially, we were intimidated by the idea of taking on 3 tuition payments. However, after much deliberation, we decided that we should at least give our kids the opportunity to learn those skills that had impressed us so much at the Open House we attended. I am glad to report we began to see results almost immediately. Only a few months into the first year, I heard my Kindergartner reciting Scripture from memory and sounding out words correctly. My first grader was reading books a chapter at a time, and my fourth grader was recognizing Latin words and phrases in everyday life. It wasn’t even Christmas yet, and we knew that we had made the right decision.” (emphasis added) (Click here to read the full article)
